On Saturday 18th September we are planning to hold a full day of green events.
-
We have identified four or five unloved plots of land in the C CRA area and we’d like the help of anyone who c an sp a re ti me, expertise or muscle to tidy them up and replant – making our streets greener! These areas will need a bit of TLC after our ‘going green’ day so even if you can’t come along on September 18th we’d love you to volunteer to do a bit of watering.
-
You are invit ed to bring along any unwanted but usable items (except electrical goods) for a repeat of last year’s very popular ‘freecycle’ swap.
-
We’re hoping to encourage gardeners with surplus plants and seedlings to come along as part of the swapping arrangements.
-
Refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon – so even if you don’t want to get rid of anything or don’t know anything about gardens – pop down to St. Richard’s hall for a chat and a cuppa.
-
Representatives from Charlton Toy Library are coming along so there’ll be something for your young children.
-
For the young at heart of any age, there will be a music workshop making and playing instruments created out of ‘freecycle’ junk. Eat your heart out Stomp! Children will need to be accompanied and there will be a performance – so come along and join in the fun.
